Freedom Bus Rides: From 11:00am-12 Noon:

Rally Celebration Program:
Starts at 12 noon - 2:00pm

Program Schedule To Your Left...


First San Francisco “Freedom Train”, sponsored by MTA in conjunction with the partial service launch of the new T-Third line

    • Departure time 11:30 am from Sunnydale Station will arrive at Civic Center station at approximately 12: 08 pm.
    • The route will travel from Visitacion Valley beginning at the Bayshore/Sunnydale platform and proceed by escort provided by Officers for Justice, down Third Street stopping at each of the 18 new stations and proceed to the Civic Center Station

    • The table will have T-Third promotional items, safety pouches for the children, Muni information and Access Guides as well as DPT materials.

The MTA will provide 15 shuttle buses

    • CalTrain Freedom train arrives at 4th and King Street Station at 11:25 am.
    • The MTA buses will transport CalTrain “Freedom Train” participants from the station at 4th and King Street to the Civic Center and the King Day festivities. This will be a round trip service. These same buses will be available at the end of the event to shuttle riders back to the Caltrain station.

Commemorative Ticket

    • Passengers on the MTA “Freedom Train” will receive a Commemorative Ticket that will allow them a free ride on their return trip.
