Teach-In Outline

The Bay Area African American Health Initiative (BAAAHI) is recruiting 4,650 African American volunteers who will train to become Health Conductors.

The Critical Mass Health Conductors (CMHC) project is a call to action for people of African descent to create a legacy of good health. As Health Conductors we assume active responsibility for our own health and healing. We are courageous and outspoken in advancing a bold health-and-wellness agenda in our communities.

The vision for the CMHC began during a retreat for the Bay Area African American Health Initiative's Council of Elders, Throughout the retreat, Harriet Tubman's name and spirit emerged again and again as the guiding force to manifest this vision. Harriet Tubman is our Beloved Patron Saint and Health Conductor #1.

Join the Bay Area Black United Fund and its Community Partners at the Health Conductor Teach In. Bring a friend or family member. For more information, call the Bay Area Black United Fund at (510) 763-7270 or visit www.babuf.org.
